Hello!

I am looking for some help with setting up file sharing between our small network and a Laser cutter we purchased.

We recently purchased a Bystonic 3015 and after talking with the install crew and tech support they are not allowed to alter or assist with the customer network.

The Laser itself has its own router and network with router address being 192.168.100.200. Our network is very small being 3 computers on the default 192.168.0.1 network. I need to somehow share a folder from our computer(192.168.0.2) to the Laser computer on the 192.168.100.200 network.

Is setting up a vlan the way to accomplish this?

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Hi @Ruckus2020

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Diagram first. I have a basic idea about your situation but need a diagram.

To fix this, would be either port forwarding. to fix the NAT issue in your LAN. Or place them in the same LAN under the laser router.

  @jhonbenz853

Thank you all for your help and replies!

I was able to get the Laser computer to reach the internet. But am still unable to share a folder or map a drive to our computers.

Laser Network:

Router(DHCP Off) 192.168.100.200

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Static IP set in Router: 192.168.0.200

Gateway: 192.168.0.1

Our Network:

Router: 192.168.0.1

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Our computers: 192.168.0.2 thru .6

I do not have our computers set static but they are address reserved.

My original thought was to change our network to match the Laser network but was told not to by the install crew as it would cause issues...
