Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 5.1.1

Hi,

I try to upgrade 1-1 device at 1-1 site, but the upgrade process is failed.

- The controllers: 2x Omada Hardware Controller OC200 v1 with Fw 1.29.4 Build 20240304 Rel.54362, Controller ver:  5.13.30.20

- The APs: 2x EAP225-Outdoor v1 - Fw 5.1.1

The update process begin, and nothing happened for minutes... and later [Failed]Failed to upgrade [Name of AP] to firmware version 5.1.1 Build 20230921 Rel. 63318 online.
[Name of AP] was disconnected.

The APs can not reboot, the network link does not come up, it is bricked...
Now we have 2 bricked device because there is bug somewhere in the upgrade process with this configuration build.
1 AP was worked from own POE adapter, 1 AP was worked from a TP-Link T1600G-28PS v3 POE switch, so I don't think this was the problem.
Other APs like EAP-225 V3 (indoor) upgraded to Fw 5.1.6 without any issue.

Hi @Fae

Thank you for your cooperation.

It seems this malfunction wasn't a bug/fail in omada controller operation.
In first case (controller A), there was a communication problem between the AP and controller, the firmware upgrade was completed, but the AP can not communicate on the wired network. This was an UTP wire fail, we replaced the network cable and the AP is working fine again. After this, we upgraded the remaining APs (eap225 outdoor v1) without any issue.

The other case (controller B), the AP is bricked. This was an AP issue, probably a hardware fail. After turn it on, the LED blink Green-Red-Orange-Green. The reset button doesn't help. Short green - short red - short orange - long green... network link is off, nothing else.
I will send the log and config files in this second case (B).
