Model: TL-SG3428X
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.30.0 Build 20231019 Rel.60485

Hello,

I have deco M9 and switch as TL-SG3428X and TL-SG108E, i have a loop between and unstability (processor a 90%) wifi deco and RJ45 wired cable, how to enable the wire cable, i see on the chat is that Deco M9 not detect the blackhaul phase, how to setup (IEEE1905.1) these 3 switch to let or permit blackhaul protocol.

I have tested with a replacement for the main switch TL-SG3428X by an unmanged switch and it's works, the blackhault switch works and the deco is connected on wire cable both.

My question is what is the parameter on main switch : TL-SG3428X to allow the blackhaul ((IEEE1905.1) - preventing loopback was not enable on both switch.

Schema :

FREEBOX (MODEM/routeur) -----> TL-SG3428X     ------ > One Deco plus connected

                                                                  |

                                                                  |

                                                          TL-SG108E     ------ > second One Deco plus connected

Thanks for your help

  @Sorcier062

I have found the root cause, it's due to security defense on switch add-on, and on DDOS Defend, i have tested to put on and after that the deco was on WIFI, if i put off this menu and reboot the AP it's OK.

Definititly it's due to this security addon

Hi @Sorcier062

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Please take a look at this guide first: General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco

There is no specific setting on the switch to enable the 1905.1.

They should pass the switch freely.

  @Clive_A

Thanks for you feedback, and responses, but i confirm that the switch SG3428x block the communication between deco M9 AP, if i replace the switch by and unmanged switch it's works and i see the communication between the deco on ethernet, if i put back the switch it's doesn't works (Always on wireless between the deco M9 AP) and the processor on switch is 90% and need to reboot.

My questions is now, what parameter to change to allow this communication and have the same situation as unmanaged switch ?

Thanks for your help

  @Sorcier062

I have tested to reset the switch TL-SG3428x to restart with a new configuration, today the deco pass the switch TL-SG3428x without freeze and storm broadcast.

I"m waiting 2 or 3 days to confirm if it's the good solution.

  @Sorcier062

After 3 days to test if the solutiion was ok, i confirm that it's a good solution to reset the switch a start with a new configuration, perharps we have a bad upgrade from the last firmware because now it's ok deco to deco on ethernet is OK.

very unhappy from the support L2 don't propose this solution before...
