Model: TL-SG3428X
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.2 Build 20210128 Rel.56556

Hi , i cant update the Firmware to last Versions

I buyed the Switch from Amazon last Year .

On the switch is the Firmware Version 1.02 preinstalled .

I tried to Update the Firmware to Version TL-SG3428X(UN)_V1_1.0.9 Build 20221021 first - it failed , after reboot

i cant reach the webinterface anymore(no power interrupts or else) , so with an console cable i reset the switch (activated backup image)

the webinterface access is than possible, i tried again with the Version  :TL-SG3428X(UN)_V1_1.0.10 Build 20221130

and again after the reboot i cant access to the switch GUI anymore ?

I´ve read the Thread that in some cases the Switches act like unmanged switches after Update

My Switch does not have PoE capabilities so than on Jetstream Switches are mentioned that to turn off SSH

This is not on by default so what can i do?

So here is a screenshot from the Ui

And here is a screenshot from the Console , after the reboot the message :

TPMSG:(_tpmsg_send_s)tpserver get client 10 fail, sock 0 appears

Edit:

sorry i forget i use the switch as standalone Switch / no Omada Controller activated

  @h3llfire

The SG3428X can be stressful sometimes, especially when adopting to Omada for the first time or after firmware updates.

First of all, please confirm that you get a slowly blinking status LED after reboot. If it's blinking, the switch is up and running again.

The problem is usually that VLAN and/or interface settings are lost (at least partly) and the ports or the interface fall back to VLAN1. So, if you have a DHCP server running in VLAN1, your switch might have got a new IP, if the switch and the DHCP server can communicate. Check the DHCP leases for new entries.

If you don't have a DHCP server running in VLAN1 or they cannot communicate, the switch falls back to 192.168.1.1/24. Try to directly connect to the switch (preferably use a previous access port and not a trunk port for the above reasons) with a PC with fixed IP 192.168.1.2/24.

If this doesn't work and you previously have configured a management VLAN, then you should try to connect to the switch via this VLAN. It's best to have a second VLAN-capable switch for this connection, so you can toggle between tagged and untagged management VLAN traffic.

You can also download the Omada discovery utility

https://www.tp-link.com/de/support/download/tl-sg3428x/v1/#Omada_Discovery_Utility

It will tell you the IP and if your network is properly configured, you then should know the VLAN.

Good luck.
