I have an Omada OC200 Controller, Router ER605 v2.0, three Jetstream 24 port switches and a variety of TP Link access points. Everything works great. 

I purchased 4 AC867 23dbi Outdoor directional antennas (Pharos CPE710 v2.0).  I need to connect 2 remote locations.

I am using 2 AC867 to create a wireless link to the distant location. I have the client AC867 connected though an unmanaged switch to an EAP225 outdoor antenna.  The EAP225 outdoor antenna will provide WiFi to the distance location.

I have configured both AC867's, one as access point and one as client. I can ping the AC867 Access Point, the client and the EAP225 connected on the far side. See diagram. The Omada system can see the EAP225 at the far side of the connect and adopted it successfully.

The problem is when you try to connect to the SSID of the EAP225 outdoor antenna it attempts to get an IP address and eventually times out.

I originally used a static IP address with the EAP225, but changed it to DHCP. When I power cycle the far side the EAP225 gets an IP address from the ER605 router.

I have read through some of the other forums and tried their suggestions.

Second Question

Do I need the switch between the AC867 and the EAP225. I was suggested to me that I could connect the LAN ports of the POE injectors together, see diagram below. I tried it and nothing worked, meaning the EAP225 broadcasted its SSID for about a minute and then shutdown. I could not ping the EAP225 in this configuration. I noticed the EAP225 powered down after about a minute if the LAN port was not connected to anything.

Am I missing something? do I need a cross over cable to connect the 2 LAN ports together? or do I require a switch between the AC867 and the EAP225?
