Omada switch sg3210xhp-m2 upgrade fails from 2.0.8 to 2.0.9
Hello,
Omada controller is showing a new version of switch firmware for my sg3210xhp-m2. I told the controller to upgrade and it fails. As it was trying to upgrade I started a ping from my desktop pc and saw the pings stop. The switch stikl runs but I have to reboot it to get it to connect back to the oc200. Tried to upgrade it twice from oc200 and it failed both times. Currently running version 2.0.8 and have upgraded the switch multiple times over it's life with no issues till 2.0.9. anyone else experiencing this? A reboot fixes it and it comes back on 2.0.8.
Thanks.

@Clive_A Thank you for the offer. :)
I played with it this morning and found that 2.0.5 was the only version that would load. Once it loaded I was then able to upgrade to 2.0.9. I am good!
I really appreciate all the help and support! I am very happy with all of Omada gear. It just works and it works well.
Thank you,

Hi @papac0rn
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
What's the full version(build) of your firmware?
You can consider downgrading it to the official one you can find on the site and after the downgrade, use the controller to check the update again and upgrade.

Hi,
It's 2.0.8 build 20240531 rel 66707. That was stable code on the website but I don't see it available now. The newest code showing online 2.0.6. Can I downgrade without issue? The firmware the controller is showing is 2.0.9 build 20241206 rel 34776. I'm also running the beta version of the oc200 controller v5.15.6.25. could that be reporting the wrong firmware available?

There was a pull-off early this month. I think that's the pulled version you have now.
You can downgrade that and to the last official release and then check the firmware upgrade online and see if you can successfully upgrade it.

BTW, we can do this parallel. As you are downgrading the firmware to see if that can fix the problem, can you provide your Omada ID and MAC address of this troubled model?
For example:
You can paste the URL for me.
We can look up the log and see if we can find anything on our end about your cloud firmware upgrade.
We require:
OmadaCID or full URL that shows the ID;
MAC address of this troubled model SG3210XHP-M2.
A picture of the Device page on your Omada Controller to learn about the firmware and hardware version.
Date and time stamp of your action to upgrade the firmware.
Please send these in a private message.
If you remote with us, please message me as well. I have temporarily opened my message.
