@BOBYman 60Mbps is probably what you can expect on 2.4 Ghz with this access point. wifi4 is old and outdated. try and use 5Ghz or upgrade to wifi6, with wifi6 on 2.4ghz and 40mhz bandwidth my access...

@semgee I don't quite understand what you mean but show a screenshot of the VPN configuration then maybe, policy route you can't use on OpenVPN so you can forget about it, same with other routing.

@larrezz I only have the access point built into the ER706W just now so I can't test this now, maybe @Clive_A has some suggestions.
