hello everybody..

I'll get straight to the point..
I have a network with a router and a wa850re working as fine as it gets.There are two iMac connected and casually any iPhone or android platforms.But i wanted to extend my network cause in some areas i don't have strength signal.So i bought a new one tp link wa850re.
I logged in to the new one and make the configuration to the main router.
I can connect to the new tp link wa850re with my iPhone and surf to the internet with no problems.
The problem is that when i try to connect the 2 imacs, i can see the wifi signal,trying to login with the password and it doesn't connect.

i manage to re-configure the old one from scratch and also disable the DHSP server to both repeaters but nothing again.

Any help would be appreciated.

Same issue on my TL-WA850RE with my MacBook, all my other devices can connect with same password, when connect on my MacBook, it says "invalid password" or "incorrect password".
What is the version of your iMac? Is there any error information when it fails to connect?

I have one model from 2007 and one Late 2012.Both on Maverick OS.
Whats your OS?
The weird thing is that the old extender works with no problems.

I can confirm that I have the same problem.

I am using the ASUS RT-N12HP router with this repeater.

This is very frustrating, my Macbook is my main device and I cannot even return the repeater.

Spoke to support and received the latest beta firmware. The issue seems to have been fixed.

Same 'invalid password' message on a Mac with my WA850RE

I have this problem, too: new v5 WA850RE extender set up but two Macbooks (one older, the other far newer) won't connect and claim I have entered an 'invalid password', but my iPad, iPhone, a Lenovo Android tablet and a Lenovo laptop all connnect with no hassles whatsoever.

In addition when they two Macs are connected to the WE850RE via ethernet, there is no problem at all and I can get onto the net - but the point is I want to use wifi.

I have just upgraded the firmware to the latest available on this website (vie the second latest) so unless there is beta firmware which i can get my hands on, this buying this extender was a waste of time completely.
