Top or Bottom Network cable connections

Why oh why does TPLINK keep changing the direction you plug the network cables in on their powerline units ?
Due to positioning of the plug sockets I have to order specific powerline units with down network cables (and its more neat).
Is it worth creating a list of them all ?
My two for starters are:
AV600 - bottom
PA9020P- top
