AC1900 Archer T9E Issues

Hi,
I bought and installed this adapter 7 months ago and had no problems until last night. While watching Facebook videos, my connection dropped which I thought was just one of my normal connection drops resolved by refreshing the page. This time however I couldn't get the connection to return. I have tried using the 2 different drivers which has made no difference, tried windows troubleshooting which hasn't found a problem and tried moving the adapter to a different PCI port also to no avail.
What's happening is that when I try to connect to my router (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Windows is sometimes saying it can't connect to the network while other times it is connecting but with an extremely slow connection speed. The adapters status page in the network control panel shows 6.5mbps with a strong signal. A general speedtest using the BT Wholesale system or speedtest.net is not completing due to the poor connection.
I have tried 2 drivers, changing the PCI port, fully uninstalling the device and it's driver and software from the device panel and the tp-link installer.
Drivers used were:
1. Archer T9E_V1_151026 (Version 6.30.223.228 Dated 06/02/2014)
2. Archer T9E(EU)_V1_170831_Wins (Version 7.35.317.1 Dated 06/10/2015)
I am using Windows 10 Pro X64 Version 1709 OS Build 16299.248. The last update it shows being installed is the 2018-02 Cumulative Update KB4074588 installed on 13/02/2018 which is over a week before I started getting the issue.
I am currently using the Realtek USB adapter I had beforehand on the same computer with no issues. I can't test the adapter in another computer as I only have this one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'll try having another play about over the next few days with my adapter and see if it'll start working properly again. I'm reluctant to install preview builds of the OS as while it may have been tested and deemed suitable for public testing, it may still have bugs and that puts me off. I'm happy waiting it out for the full public release of the updates from Microsoft hoping something triggers the adapter back into life. I'd like to think TP-Link are working ferociously to update the drivers to work with newer builds of Windows, but the whole scenario and the lack of any sort of official word regarding updates would make me think about other adapters in the future.

I just read an article that the new "oficial" version of Windows10 is scheduled to be released next Month, Abril 2018. Hopefully that will resolve the issue if TPlink RMA does not confirm my card is defective. And I will never understand why it was working perfectly in current version 1709 and started having problems only on Feb 25th when there was no updates applied to my windows10.

isn't this patch included in auto updates for Windows ? I've downloaded this patch and will try this evening. Currently I'm using an old Wireless-N TPlink card on the desktop. I didn't send the T9E yet to Tplink, so I'll swap the cards once again today to test this patch.
The annoying part of the process is that as I only have 1 PCI-e for wifi card, each attempt to fix the issue I have to go under the desk, remove 2 antennas , open case, swap cards, connect 3 antennas, turn on PC, try new things, no sucess, go under the desk, hit the head on the chair, remove 3 antennas, replace cards, insert 2 antennas, close case, hit the head again, boot computer and resume search for possible fixes. Repeat the process every day.

That patch was released early on in January, having been installed on my computer by Window's Update on 19th of January well before issues arose. I'm downloading the update file now to see if it will let me re-install but usually this is not allowed. Going to have a play about again today and see if anything has changed

Same here. My windows had this patch applied via Windows updates prior to the date I began having issues.
I tried to install again anyway and it's not available as it was already installed.
I gave up in my attempts to fix the issue myself. I'm using an old Wireless N adapter and the T9E was sent to TPlink via RMA process. Waiting for TPlink to provide me updates once they receive the adapter and test in lab. I may take a while since I only shipped the card to them a couple days ago.
I'm really believing that my card is deffective and if that's confirmed b TPLink RMA hopefully the replacement will work properly right away.
While the T9E gave me frustation, at least a TPLink router is working very very well, a TPLink Archer AC5400. It will get better when I get my T9E adapter working again, it was a blast during the 10 days it worked.

Not sure why I spent so much time doing troubleshooting, research, installing windows again.....
TPlink support has confirmed to me in less than 24 hours after receiving the card for RMA, that card is defective and they are shipping a new T9e adapter back to me...
Great, I should had sent the adapter to them sooner...
