I picked up a TD-W9970 router modem on 2016-03-17. It worked well for almost exactly two years, but as of 2018-03-19, it frequently would not allow connection by WiFi. This impacts two different Toshiba laptop models and one iPhone. Windows 7 offers to perform a diagnostic, but doesn't uncover the cause. On the other hand, the iPhone simply asks for a password (which it already has stored).

If I power down the modem and power up, then all devices can access the WiFi.

Can anyone please advise on a course of action to resolve this? My Device Information is:

only wifi had the issue? if so, you may try to change wifi channel and channel width to see whether it helps
