TL-WPA8630P can't keep it up!
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Upstairs Study: - TP-Link Archer C9 v3.0/v4.0 (Firmware: 1.3.1 Build 20171215 rel.35219(4555)) with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi frequencies active. - TP-Link TL-WPA8630P Powerline Adapter (base). Downstairs Lounge: - TP-Link TL-WPA8630P Powerline Adapter (extender). Initial setup went fine, plugged router into Powerline base. Paired extender with base. Activated WiFi on extender to extend both frequencies from the router, got the flashing green lights as per the manual, everything looking good. Problem: The default SSIDs from the extender are still visible (TP-LINK_6C7D and TP-LINK_6C7D_5G) and the WiFi signal strength in the lounge is the same as it used to be. I assume that by virtue of the extender's default SSIDs still being present it means that the extender is not picking up and boosting the WiFi from the router, instead it is just broadcasting its own default WiFi. Can anyone confirm? Thanks. PS - I did reset and repeat the procedure but no difference.
