I got 100mb/s Internet speed, actually going as far as 125mb/s.

However with the powerline in use, it maxes out at 50mb/s.

I checked the speed via the tpPLC and it says they both transfer 400mb/s to eachother.

So why is the internet then slowing down, it's nowhere near 400mb/s?

The 400mb/s is the powerline link speed not the real speed.

Your internet speed is 100mb/s, so you can only get 100mb/s at most.

Even you plug them into the same room,you can only get 400mb/s each other?

This link speed is too low, and you can check whether there is any high power appliance near them. if yes, move them away from TL-WA7020KIT.
