Hi guys,

I know the building quality in my area is appalling even in new builds but I was never expecting it to be that bad.

Had a 100mbps connection and was thinking to upgrade to at least 250mbps or even 1Gbps so I had to deal with the bad internal speeds. I decided to upgrade from a D-Link DHP-600AV to 2x9020 and 2x9020p.

Unfortunately only after paying good money for the 4 of them I realised that I shouldn't... Most of the time and especially with other devices plugged in the speed of the tp-links is worst than the 600AVs. If I keep all devices plugged in, one of the tp-links even completely loses the connection but the 600AVs are coping just fine (with speeds of around 14mbps though).

Below are roughly the positions where the powerlines are. The top left one is next to the router.

Any suggestions to squeeze a bit extra are appreciated. Tbh seriously thinking of returning them as there is no point in having the same speeds as a 600AV and a more unreliable connection, especially with the third tp-link disconnecting when all devices are plugged in.

What you describe is quite bad... But what it's worst is that no one from technical support seems to care.Have you tried to contact global stop support support@tp-link.com?

Couldnt be bothered. Just threw the Tp-links in the drawer and using my old D-Links AV600. At least I am getting around 10mbps at the most remote PC.
