Archer MR400 - How to set up in Access Point Mode

I am a new user of the MR400. I am planning to set up a roaming network in a newly purchased house with very thick walls. There are ethernet cables, and I have another 4G modem I will be using upstairs as the main router (as it's a bit faster in theory). I want to set up the Archer MR400 as an access point, by connecting one of the ethernet cables to it (presumably in the LAN/WAN slot), but I can't see how to set it up in access point mode. If I take out the 4G sim card (and put it in the router upstairs) the Tether app says "no sim card" and wont let me access any settings. Can anybody advise me on how to set up the MR400 as an access point please?
