I have a network consisting of a d-link wifi router that connects to ADSL.
I setup the WR841ND in wds and easily connect to d-link.with the ping utility of the WR841ND I can reach the d-link or any of the PCs attached to the d-link and receive an answer.
but any PC 'attached via LAN or WIFI to WR841ND can ping only WR841ND and not the d-link or any other PC attached to the d-link (clearly not even go on the Internet ....)

Have you disabled the DHCP function on the TL-WR841ND? Seems your PCs have got IP address from the TP-LINK router.

Thanks for reply.
Yes I've tried both configuration (dhcp on and off).
With DHCP off the PCs attached to TL-WR841ND fail to take the correct ip and I have set it by hand

I‘m not so sure about your settings on the TL-WR841ND. but you can find the configurating instruction on TP-LINK's FAQ: http://www.tp-link.com/en/article/?faqid=227, perhaps you can check your settings:o
and also, it is very important that the d-link supports WDS as well.

Yes, I follow the faq (and also a brasillian or spanish video on youtube). I will try a firmware upgrade on the d-link and cross my fingers :)

I am having exactly the same issue with my WR841N router. I am also trying to use it as a wireless bridge and have set it up with the same settings (DHCP disabled, wireless setting matching the Access Point, WDS bridging enabled). The WR841N connect as a client to my wirleless router as it should but none of the ethernet ports on the WR841N can access the network. The ethernet clients are set to obtain the IP address automatically. All the steops i the FAQ have been followed. I have the V8 (latest) firmware)

What is going wrong? Is the router firmware buggy and has this feature has ever worked?

Hi all, I have the exact same issue with wr841n v8 hw running the latest firmware. I am connecting to a tp-link w8968 via wds too and getting the same symptoms, the two routers can talk to each other but no devices connected to the wr841n can connect beyond the 841, only themselves. I have followed the guide closely so it is not a dhcp issue, and the wds connection itself is stable.
Has anybody found a solution to this yes, has anybody from tp-link got any feedback?
