When I attempt to install WinPcap_4_1_1 in order to install the utilities for the first time - Windows 8 tells me there are compatibility issues and asks if I
want to install anyway.

Should I install anyway or just not bother?
Will compatible software be made available?

Thanks - it seems I don't need the utilities at the moment so I'll wait.
Maybe the software will have been updated by the time I need them.

If i can get online with the TP-LINK units, I will leave it. Maybe update the Utility with Windows8 needs time. Hope the TP-LINK guys will give its customers a good update fro Windows 8

Has anyone tried ignoring the Microsoft recommendation and installed the WinPcap software on Windows 8 ? Successfully or otherwise......

Alternatively do TP-Link have any news on the availabilty date of Powerline Utility software compatible with Windows 8 ?

Try installing this version of WinPcap 4_1_2 before trying to install the utility:

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Network-Tools/Protocol-Analyzers-Sniffers/WinPcap.shtml
