Is there any anti-virus software on your computer ? Maybe you can have a try to uninstall the anti-virus software and then manually install the driver and later reinstall your anti-virus software. Hope this helps!

Have uninstalled Avast, rebooted, installed the drivers again, and it still loses the driver on a shutdown but not a restart. How very odd. Will try what vivian suggested and install in a different computer.

WN-350G PCI card and windows 7 and windows 8

I have a similar problem. I have windows 8. So no drivers were there. It installed it automatically but with a different make. I tried creating a adhoc for LAN internet sharing but it would connect for just a minute or 2 wirelessly to my devices and would vanish.
I tried a windows 7 computer with stock drivers. It was not connecting and moreover when I restarted the computer came into a blue screen dumping memory loop. Won't come out of it until I removed this hardware.
Any suggestions ? Everyone recommended me to go with Dlink, but don't know why I bought this TP link. I hope my money is in good hands.

Checked TP-LINK website~ TL-WN350G is a discontinued product. Guessing they won't keep an eye on it again~
anyway, it's just my personal opinion. You'd better email to support@tp-link.com.
