Just swapped the v7 WR841N for the v8 so let's see how long this stays up for... Running latest firmware120802.

The v8 router web interface hung last evening taking the internet access down with it. Next plan is to swap locations of the v7 and v8 routers so that v7 is connected directly to BT Infinity modem and then install DD-WRT and see if that stays up. Interesting that all was well until an iPad was turned on and connected to the wireless, anyone else seen iPads causing problems ??

I recently purchased two of these units, to replace Netgear products. I don't use either as an ADSL Router, but to provide wireless connection between upstairs and downstairs. The downstairs unit is then ethernet connected to a Netgear Router.

I appear to be having similar problems to those described in this thread, but only with one of the two units. They are both configured EXACTLY the same, one as 192.168.0.2, the other as 192.168.0.3, except that wireless connection between the two is established by setting 'Enable WDS Bridging' in the one that keeps giving me the problems.

Symptoms are: complete loss of internet and web interface connection on the faulty unit and the front panel LEDs no longer flash but remain permanently lit. The only solution is to remove and replace power supply. The problem is further enhanced by the fact that I am 6,000 miles away and need the connection to PC and VoIP phones at the remote UK location via a VPN.

Both are TL-WR1043ND_V1_120405. V1.9

As I don't see much activity recently in this forum, does anyone know if there have been any positive developments to try and fix this problem?

I got my WR1043ND for almost a year. It works fine initially. However, after upgrading the firmware (not sure since which firmware version) there is problem on web interface dies and the SYS LED either always ON or always OFF but still can access internet. Even the latest TL-WR1043ND_V1_120405 cannot fix the problem.

Glad that I am not alone and finally found this forum.

I will try the BETA firmware 3.13.12 Build 121210 Rel.73912n (Beta) quoted from
[Beta firmware] Solved TL-WR1043ND hang up with high-bandwith and WEB interface dies
see whether it can fix the bug.
