I want to ask what the best Signal strength  for range extender 

 

I use the TL-WR840N to extend.

Hi, to ensure the performance, it is suggested to locate the range extender in the half way between the main router and wifi dead zone, where you can get 2-3 wifi bars from main router.

Hi. It depends on many factors such as placement of the extender, your internet speed. If you place the extender at optimal location, you can get the best out of it. But most of range extenders has around 1500 sqft coverage If you want to cover more area, better go for mesh wifi system (such as TP-Link Deco).
