Hi

I’m having trouble getting my archer c6 to open up traffic to my l2tp vpn server.

I have opened ports 4500,500 and 1701 and enabled vpn pass through, but it’s still not working. If I put my server in DMZ I can connect just fine.

With every other router I’ve had it’s always been enough to just open those 3 ports.

Does anyone know why I have to enable DMZ for this to work?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Have you ever tried to enable L2TP pass through yet? Log into the web UI, tab advanced-NAT forwarding-ALG.

What is the current network topology/diagram as well?

Please show us a screenshot of the advanced-status page.

Have a nice day.
