M5 issues after upgrade 1.3.0
M5 issues after upgrade 1.3.0
Hi,
Last week I upgraded to 1.3.0 Build 20190419 Rel. 70702. I've had significant issues since. The most obvious of which is "internet down". It happened twice last night. My uplink was fine in both cases but the Deco showed a red light and reported down. In both cases a power cycle of the M5 fixed the issue. I've also seen packet loss (as per ping of the M5 gateway) as high as 80%.
Prior to this upgrade the system was generally working well. I'm wishing I did not upgrade. Is there an option to downgrade firmware?
Thanks,
Scott

Ok,
this morning i entered the suggested DNS settings en rebooted all nodes.
Later this day: Was not possible to connect with wifi to the main unit anymore.
However: the node with ethernet backhoul (connected to main unit) was still working properly.
As before: all LEDS green + according to the app all nods were working OK.
(After rebooting the main unit, all works again)
I am a bit lost: nodes are now very unstable, and also no option to downgrade.
Any options left ?

Hi,
Thanks for your waiting, you mentioned that the IP address you obtained from the offline device is 192.168.68.100, gateway is 192.168.68.1, while the LAN IP of the main deco is 192.168.178.1, right?
While for your information, the IP address on the whole network should be assigned by the main Deco which works as the DHCP server, you can reset the 2nd one and re-add into the network, or you can exchange the positions between this node and others to do a comparison analysis.
Besides, after you changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4, please reboot the whole network system, including the modem and the Deco nodes.
Any updates, please let us know.

Hi,
You can reboot the whole system, including the modem and the Deco units.
When the Deco shwoed a red light, did app show offline? At that time, can you access internet from the modem directly?
Meanwhile, what is the network topology?
Any updates, please let us know.

I’ve had problems with disconnecting devices since 1.2.5. The situation improved with 1.2.8 but is now worse again with 1.3.0. It doesnt matter if I use the system in AP or router mode. The Only thing that seems to work is to disable the 5GHz wi-fi but my network printer doesnt work with 2.4G so it would be nice to find a solution.
