Model: Archer C2300
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I can’t find any info on this, but hopefully it’s an easy question for someone.

I have a VR2600 (vdsl router) and want to use a C2300 as an extender, but I’m trying to work out which of its features will be available in this configuration.

I assume I will be able to assign each of its Ethernet ports as a fixed IP for devices plugged in, when using the VR2600 as the DHCP server for the whole network, but can anyone confirm?

Does anyone know if it’s IFTTT ability is still usable in extender mode?

Does anyone know if it’s USB ports are still usable as an FTP Server in extender mode?

Thanks to anyone who can help.

@JnrJedi

Edit: Due to different versions, please check whether you can see the WDS option under advanced-system tools-system parameters page. If not, then we are not able to configure it as a repeater. Click here to get instruction.

Meanwhile it supports access point mode, you can use it to extend the wifi range.

Click here to get more information to set it up as AP.

Wrong, because C2300 has the option for WDS in System Options.

Thanks Kevin

Do you know if any of the services my question was about, would be available with the wds option turned on?
