just bumping this one as i still get this bloody problem.   I either have to unplug the ethernet cable from the main M5 router (to the gigabit switch) for a couple of seconds, or sometimes a reboot sorts it.    this is FAR from ideal.

changing the QOS settings did seem to sort it for a short while but the problem soon came back.    does noone else seem to get this issue??

I thought I already said, but maybe I didn't, that the speed negotiation of the PC (or any of the other plugged in devices in the switch) stay fine (And can speed test to prove it) at 1000mpbs

@thefunkygibbon

Have you ever updated the firmware to 1.3.1 of the Deco M5; after that, do you still have the same issue.

Please draw me the current network diagram, including the switch.

Besides, try to connect the main Deco to the modem only and verify whether it works properly.

@Kevin_Z

It did this before latest fw and currently on 1.3.1

No need for a diagram ...it really isnt hard to understand..

Modem》m5》 switch》lan devices

Simple

And as I have already said... speed remains absolutely fine over wifi. So it is JUST wired that is an issue

@Calvin97

i ended up replacing all of the cat5 cables i was using in the whole setup to new ones, and i've not had the problem since.   bear in mind that my problem was random and not slow speeds all of the time.  but cables would be the first thing i'd check.
