Archer C6 2.4G band stops working, disable then enable restores
Recently purchased Archer C6 Router running the latest firmware. On 4 occasions the 2.4G WiFi band has stopped working, devices can connect to it but get no network access. Disabling and enabling the 2.4G band on the admin interface restores the connectivity, the 5G band is not affected, a device connected to it is used to reset the 2.4G band.
I used the chat support service to discuss the issue and the suggestion was to change from automatic to a fixed channel for the 2.4G band, this appeared to resolve the issue but it has happened again today, a phone which only works on 2.4G was showing the WIFI as access denied.
is there anything else I can do to resolve this issue.

Good to know.
I referred this thread to TP-Link Support in the UK this morning asking them to put the issue into Problem Managment, having raised it with the Dutch arm (who knows if they ar actually different) in the week again and being asked to jump through various scripted hoops as an incident rather than actually addressing the obvious problem.
Remains to be seen if they bother.

@Joe6thomas also it seems that they have sold me a US variant here in India, i cannot update to the new firmware even manually when i am trying from the indian website, but the us firmware works. This issue needs to be solved i have few old devices which only uses 2.4ghz network and its a pain now.

Hi Kevin!
I just bought the same Archer C6 v2 router a few weeks ago brand new and I have a similar problem with the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, but MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY!
I have "Smart Connect" on, so I notice it as devices which only supports 2.4GHz, cannot connect back on the network, 5Ghz ones still works fine. After a reboot it's okay but usually within a day it's back and sometimes it happens multiple times a day....
It's so so so frustrating..... When are you going to fix this issue? It clearly looks like a software issue or a serious general hardware one....
I tried it in both Access Point and Router mode, but it's the same.
The router is on the latest firmware: 1.3.0 Build 20200402 rel.52000 (- I was thinking about trying DD-WRT on the device but I'm pretty sure it'd ruin my warranty.)
Tell me if I can help you troubleshoot the problem, but please fix it, I don't want to change brands, I was always satistied with your products in the past. I also have System Log on, I don't know if it could help.

..But I'm pretty sure that ends up in a "warranty void" situation haha

Same problem
SmartConnect disabled.
5Ghz working very well
2.4 GHz unreachable (password incorrect). Work after a reboot. Occurs many times per day.
Firmware 1.3.0
All my network is affected, I can't work in good conditions, please focus on this problem.
if beta firmware or diagnostic is necessary don't hesitate.
