Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi, I bought the whole home system thinking to use it to replace my existing router as I was told that this might give better connection/signal than the one given by my ISP. However my current system connects through a micro filter in the phone port and the Ethernet cable with the deco system won’t connect to this.

Is there a way to bypass my existing router and get the deco to connect directly or do I need to return it and get my money back?

Thanks

@Birchy77

The Deco unit does not have DSL port, so it can not work with phone line directly. To make it work, we need the old router to snychronize the DSL connection first.

To use the Deco as the main router, you can configure the ISP router as bridge mode to connect to the DSL/phone line.
