@RedRoger

What is the model number of the camera? How do you manage it remotely? Use the static IP and the port number?

Meanwhile, you can change it to dynamic IP, and reserve an IP for it on the Deco M4 via the Deco app.

Instruction as below: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1795/

As I said before, the Model of IP camera is CAMHI pcs112. Also, as I said before, my Decos operate in access point mode and dhcp server is runnung on the main Mikrotik router. In that configuration I can't reserve anything on Deco, but I can do this on the main Mikrotik router and in this case everything operates and indicates correctly. The question was why, if use static ip for the camera, I see it in inactive devices although  the camera operates correctly itself. I think the problem somehow is connected with a new update for before it everything was correct with the same settings.

@RedRoger

We did a test on our lab, with ISP router--Deco M4)))(((smart phone, Deco M4 works as AP mode; once we set static IP for the smart phone, it still shows online but with the IP address it obtained automatically, but once the lease time expired, it will show up the static IP I have setup and it is still online.

From the pic attached before, the wifi camera connects to the slave Deco M4 which is connected to the main router by wired cable.

So to do a comparison analysis, try to connect them via wireless and test whether it works.

Note: ISP router--Deco M4 )))(((Deco M4 )))(((Deco M4, all the Deco M4 works as access point.

Any updates, please let us know.

Thanks in advance, and have a nice day.

After today's updating deco app to the new version, it seems the problem's been resolved. At least it's shown correctly within active device group with dinamic IP as well as with the static IP

@RedRoger

Thanks for your reply, glad to hear that it works now.

You can take more time to verify its performance, any updates, please let us know.

@RedRoger I have almost the same problem. I have a Deco E4 (set of 3). I have a Raspberry Pi that has been allocated a Static IP address. My deco is running in Access Point Mode. My PI device is always on and connected but in the Deco app it is shown as Offline.

I also have another machine, a laptop, which has a Static IP allocated to it. That machine too is marked offline. When troubleshooting this issue, I deleted the record in the Deco app for the laptop and now it is nowhere in the list. I can see no way to list it back in the app.

@RedRoger Here's an interesting bit from today. My lenovo laptop is now automatically named by Deco as Hon Hai Precision Ind and is marked as an offline device. I was able to confirm that it is my lenovo laptop by verifying the wifi mac address of the laptop. So there's something wrong with how Deco tries to discover a client device.
