@s_rosenthaler Thanks for the suggestion..I'm using the correct gatewway address, but no luck. (192.168.1.1). I can ping tplinkdeco.net (192.168.1.1) and get at reply.

Not heard of the mixed environment issue before, so maybe that's it. 

Edit: On my android tablet, did a lan scan which showed a webinterface to the M9. This pointed to 192.168.1.1/webpages/index.html. After opening in Chrome (desktop UI) and clicking passed insecure site, the web interface appeared. That URL doesn;t work from my windows laptop. Perhaps this beta is still under tweaking.

Is there a changelog for whats been updated or fixed in the firmware?

@BarryTreeg I think so too. The webinterface is very buggy in this firmware release.
