Deco m9 using Ethernet backhaul

If I use Ethernet for the backhaul, will the router still utilize the 2nd 5ghz band for traffic?
Or will it essentially just waste that 2nd 5ghz band?
Just wonder if I should just get the deck m5 vs the m9 since I have ethernet in every room.

Theoretically, the wifi coverage area of Deco M9 plus is larger than Deco M5. you can read the overview information. (Note: The actual performance is still related to the actual network environment)

The 5GHz-2 backhaul still exists and works; while the ethernet backhaul has higher priority, the performance and stability will be stronger than the wireless backhaul.
While it is still there to enhance the network connection.

I went be using it as a hub at all. I'm on lutron switches.
So the 2nd 5ghz will still work at backhaul and not to serves clients?

The 5GHz-2 is used for backhaul only; it won't serve clients; while there is another 5GHz available for your devices.

Do the single m9 have anymore significant range than the m5?
Example. 3 wired m5 vs 3 wired m9 in the same locations.
