Bug report for TPlink Archer VR600v V2 (firmware from file not accepted)

today I updated the firmware from the previous version to the newest (Archer_VR600v(DE)_v2_190717.zip). For this, I downloaded the file and checked its integrity. The router (TPlink Archer VR600v V2 Germany) didn't want the firmware, though. The automatic update (network download) worked, however.
This is weird. Shouldn't the router have accepted the identical file from disk?

I was disappointed to see that the
Wifi passwords are always showing - bug
hasn't been fixed either.
