SOLVED : Tether cannot find TL-WA850RE

Running tether app on Android 9, cannot find the range extender at 192.168.1.13
I am standing right next to it.
It has been configured to extend the orange livebox wifi.
Any ideas?

Hi Bob, below is the compatibility list of the Tether app.
https://www.tp-link.com/tether_compatibility_list/
Please verify whether the TL-WA850RE supports it.
Note: Please check the hardware version first.
Then to detect the range extender, please ensure that you have connected your smart phone to the extender's wifi.

@gratefulfrog the V1 model of the extender (which has a green web UI) is not compatible with Tether.
