MR600 - problem seeing received sms messages
I can't see my recieved sms messages in the admininistration interface even though everything else works fine.
I can see that I have recieved messages both on the Basic overview page as well as looking at the number of pages that should be availible in the Advanced->SMS->Inbox page (it displays that there are 2 pages of incoming messages but the list is completely empty). See my attached screenshots.
The Outbox and Drafts pages work fine though and display the correct messages supposed to be there as well as the correct number of pages. Also sending SMS messages from the router to my phone get throgh perfeclty fine.
In the Advanced->System tools->System Log I can see that I really recieve SMS messages. It displays for example: "USER: Receive a new gw sms and save it successfully." It also displays "ERROR: New sms count is 13."
So it seems to be some kind of bug concering just the Inbox page which is quite annoying since I need to see SMS messages to see what my provides tells me about my 4G usage status/tariffs etc.
Please advice.
Best regards,
M

Hi, SMS messages have started appearing erratically again with the latest beta firmware upgrade and reboot to factory settings
On the basic view , the message count is 8, but none are readable when I double click on the message icon. They were readable immediately after the firmware upgrade
On the Advanced TAB, in SMS Inbox, none of the messages are readable or visible on page 1, but a few are readable on page 2, but not all

The good news is that I can finally see the SMS messages from Three in the UK :)
This is for the Beta Firmware Version:1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200325 Rel.37625n.
Now if we can have an official version without all the "Confidential Only for Test" all over it which makes things hard to read, then that would be great ;)

The defect was reported on the 17th September 2019, ... 7 months ago!?
I wish TP-Link would put that their devide firmware, especially the for the top of the range devide comes untested and unsupported, because that's pretty much what it is.

Brilliant, I can read messages from Three network again with this upgrade:
Beta Firmware Version:1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200325 Rel.37625n.
Even better, I could read the messages without having to reboot to factory settings, which was a bit of a pain with the last upgrade.
Good to read the messages from Three though: My bills are ready, and they have reviewed my contract and increased monthly payment in line with inflation.
The biggest surprise was a message from UK government. Apparently, I have to stay at home! Just as well I can read that message now.

Just to add this fixed my problem with invisible SMS which was caused (I think) by Twitter Authentication SMS.
Hopefully you can now release a 'proper' firmware so my control panel doesn't have "Confidential Only For Test" across it :)

As of may 2020, the patch provided is not an official release, and still has problems
- Inbox SMS are not displayed in "basic" tab
- The only way to read the inbox is thru "advanced/SMS/inbox",and does not display correctly the SMS sent by SFR provider in France
- The use of the patches might void the warranty, as per tp-link terms
Should I remind anyone that SMS from providers are a critical feature in that type of product ?
This thread provides a "only for test" fw image : Archer_MR600v1_1.1.0_0.9.1_[200325-rel37625]_up_boot_2020-03-30_10.57.20
Download center still points to faulty fw
https://www.tp-link.com/fr/support/download/ does not provide a link to Archer MR600/EU
from https://www.tp-link.com/fr/support/download/archer-mr600/#Firmware
There is a fw Archer_MR600v1_1.1.0_0.9.1_[190412-rel66770]_up_boot_2019-04-12_18.39.25 (with the inbox SMS bug)
When will this be corrected and made available in download center ? Am I looking at the right place in tp-link web site ?
