Region : UnitedStates

Model : TL-WA801ND

Hardware Version : V2

Firmware Version : 3.13.20 Build 120524 Rel.70125n

ISP :

I am trying to communicate with my Linksys WRT160Nv3 which is configured as my main wireless router.

It is broadcasting a SSID with WPA2 Personal and AES encryption. The TL is able to see the wireless when I scan for it. However, after I believe I have successfully configured it the two devices are still unable to ping eachother. I have tried both Universal Repeater and WDS repeater. They are both on the same subnet 192.168.1.X 255.255.255.0.

What am I missing here?

Make sure that there is no mac filtering settings on your main router.
Maybe you can try to use wep encryption on your main router to have a test...

I have no mac filtering on any devices, never have. I have tried changing it from WPA to WPA2 to no avail. I didn't try WEP but I can try that and with no authentication. However, either choices are not ideal. The devices both support WPA2.

Sometimes restarting the router and universal repeater will help. Otherwise, you may reset and reconfigure your root router, as well as wa801nd, a quick way to solve a weird issue.:)
