Model: Archer C7
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: Archer C7(US)_V5_190726

Since I updated my archer c7 v5 to the new firmware, the tether works badly.

It takes a long time to detect the devices and most of the time it does not.

When updating the firmware I followed all the indicated norms and reset before and after and manually configured it.

I even uninstalled the Tether and reinstalled it.

@jorgedan

What about the actual speed you can get from the Archer C7 since firmware upgrading?

When the Tether app tried to detect the router, please ping the gateway of the router, which is 192.168.0.1 by default and then show us the results.

Besides, try to forget the network on your smart phone and reconnect to it.

Or you can unbind the cloud account and re-bind it.

Good day.

@jorgedan

The speed is the same as before.
100 Mbps

I had already unlinked and relinked and it is the same result.

@jorgedan

From the video attached, it seems  that loading time to access the Tether app is acceptable.

While I notice that the number of clients shows zero, while we saw that many devices have connected to the router in the last.

1. it is suggested for you to login the web interface of your TPLink device as the following instruction to check whether the web page displaying the current numbers of your Client devices.
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1523/
Attention: please send us the screenshots of that.
If the web page can display the correct numbers of client devices, please try to unload Tether APP and re-load Tether APP to locate your issue.

2. Besides, could you please send us the screenshot of Access Control page? You may go to Advanced---Security---Access control on TP-Link router and may go to Settings---Advanced settings---Access Control on TP-Link range extender.

3. For router, please send us the screenshot of DHCP IP Pool settings. You may go to Advanced---Network--LAN settings to figure it out.

4. At last, for router, please send us screenshot of Internet settings. You may go to Advanced--Network--Internet part to check it.

Besides, please tell us the current network diagram and the number of devices which have connected to the Archer C7.

Thanks in advance, and have a nice day.
