Deco M5 source signal selectable?
Is there an optimize command from the Deco App so that Deco slave units find their best signal source?
Is the signal source for slave decos selectable from the Deco App?

Do you have a firmware to have the signal source selectable? Some of the slave nodes are not connecting to the closer nodes and is connecting to the one furthest /weakest.

@TP-Link hi, is there one for the m9 plus as well?

Please TP-LINK, hurry up and release the firmware for the M5, allowing you to choose the signal source. I have four Units and they either all connect to the main unit or three to the main and one out on its own which connects randomly to one of the other three, normally the weakest one!
What is taking so long, seriously thinking of returning them as not fit for purpose.

..........How about releasing the firmware to those who have the issue for testing and if all is well you can release it to everyone else.
I am happy to be a guinea pig if it means I can finally have the signal I was promised! Field testing, you know it makes sense.

We need this update asap please. I really like the product but this is a terrible flaw that needs (and can) be fixed. Please, please, please, let us select the signal source or make the decos connect no the nearest slave.

Installed the beta firmware and ran the network optimization = Third deco still connecting to master
Rebooted all decos, ran again the optimization tool several times = same result.
It seems that "our team is working on it, soon we will be able to select the signal source" and "the official 1.6.0 firmware will be released very soon" are just lies that TP-Link has been telling us since 2019.
Probably they will finally fix this critical flaw by 2025.
What a terrible product support. Two years and they can't address this. Unbelievable.

@TP-Link Can you please provide a date for the new 1.6.0 firmware release? We are struggling to work with the current version and this is pending from a very long time.
I feel you should be communicating a date as this is not something new, else, I really doubt your readiness to solve this issue.
