Archer MR400 disconnect from internet
Router used with 4G sim card disconnects from internet after running for a few hours. Restart needed to get internet working again. Full 4G signal where used. Any ideas what to do to fix this issue?

I have received an email with a patch for MR600 and a request to assist troubleshooting the identical issue for MR200 (no patch available yet).
I have not heard of anyone with a successfully patched MR600 yet.
It is shambolic indeed...

Hello,
I'm facing same issue on my MR400 as well.
Connection to internet will drop like every two to three days.
This morning, I had to reboot the router again and decided to come here for some pointers.
The router seems to still connected to the ISP but just the internet disconnected with unknown failure reason.
I went on to manually create a profile for my ISP, added 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 for DNS.
And also added a schedule auto-reboot.
Will update here if the issue is solved.
I took a peek and decided to save a copy of the system log...
I'm surprised that there was nothing recorded prior to MR400's reboot this morning. And the first six lines are really weird. The MR400 was bought in Nov 2019 and setup in early Jan 2020 but those dates are in 2016. Am I getting a very old router from the vendor?

Hi, will you help to checkout my log file too? Thanks.
I saved it from the MR400 today.
The MR400 internet connection was dropped at about 3am this morning.

Though I just bought it in Nov 2019, is this a very old router already? Because other than the user manual there's nothing for me to download on the page.

I would apprecate if you can share the link for the 20190730 version firmware.

I have seen you accessed the page for Singapore. Indeed there is no any FW update. On the European version you can find the update but I would not do it if otherwise adviced by Tp-Link.
I would suggest you to insert the sim in a mobile phone where you can install Network Cell Info Lite to check the connection for your location. Maybe your modem will work better in 3G only. If all okay with your 4G provider you should open a ticket on Tp-Link service.

what actions I have done since November:
1. replace SIM card with a new one; use now Micro SIM card without adapter; so no Nano with adapter
Result:
- Less issues with Internet connection for euipment connecting once per 3 days
- Still issue with wired equipment
2. Added-reserved IP address for wired device; in the router ( see manual 11.4.3)
- Limited issues with Internet connection for equipment (mobiles) connecting once per 3 days
- have to reboot (power off-on) only if wired connection has an issue ( 2-3 times per week)
- Internet connection does have limited issues ( about once per 2 weeks)
3 Today 03-Feb
- we did add on the wired equipment, a fixed ip address as well; so no DHCP anymore used
- we did add to the wired equipmen fixed DNS address (8.8.8.8)
- we did add to router 2 DNS addresses ( 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4)
4. Possible improvement: add functionality that router can send recurring SMS msg to a specific mobile e.g. once per 4 hrs
- this will assist customers who are not often close to router equipment
- Router is often used in rural areas and staff not always around
5. Others:
- try to add MAC address to router for fixed IP; maybe it helps
6. Keep my test results posted

The MR400 got disconnected from the internet again.
Today I returned, reboot the router and tried switching to 3G only but the router will not connect to internet. So I switched back to 4G and reboot again and this time it connect to internet.
I did not take out the simcard to test on my phone but my cell phone is using the same mobile network hence I ran a test using the Network cell info app from my mobile phone and got the following result,
Is this good network coverage?
Also I saved the log file before rebooting and attached below. I ran through it quick, though I do not understand all the information logged but I read that there were many disconnection and auto-reconnection by the router.
I noticed too some weird information in the log file. I do not have wired device with IP 192.168.1.100 and 192.168.1.102
Attached screenshot below.
My client is getting impatient about the daily disconnection from internet. d-o-"b.
