Archer MR400 Youtube/Insta/Chomecast issues certain devices
Hello,
Got some issues with my MR400 since a week ago. It worked fine for a month before this happened.
Some of my devices, a samsung galaxy 8, Yogapad and a chromecast got issues with streaming services, I can't watch youtube, netflix on these devices through the wifi. They can however browse the web normally.
I can't cast to the chromecast either even though it's connected to the wifi. The streaming works with a few other devices like a Oneplus 6T but it still can't cast to the chromecast.
I tried the 3 different firmware versions on the site but with the same issue. Also tried to factory reset TP-link, the yogapad and the chromecast. Still no luck.
Everything works if i change to mobile hotspot and use that as a wifi instead. uPnP is activated on the router.
Any ideas? Maybe some beta firmware to try?

I have the issue as all other in this thread. My MR400 work perfect But when I installed Google Nest mini and Chromecast the devices didn't connect to internet. They connected to the wifi but not possible to cast. After googling around and came to this thread thru Reddit. I turned off 4G and connected to only 3G. Everything worked. When turning on 4g again the Google Home devices disconnected.
Firmware Version: 1.6.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 181112 Rel.65058n
Hardware Version: Archer MR400 v1 00000001
I got Chilimobil as service provider on 3.
Do you got I possible solution yet?

@LawrenceSwe It's unlikely that there's a fix available. TP-Link told me to return it to the store, so I did.

@nu1mlock I bought mine second hand. Can they solve it anyway?

@LawrenceSwe I don't have mine anymore so I don't know if there's been a firmware update or not, but if you've already checked for updates then I would try to sell it if I were you. If that's the case, then it's been 6 months or so since the issue appeared so they won't fix it. Sorry. :(
Edit: Yes, I returned mine to the store. I got an email confirmation from TP-Link's support that the device was faulty (because of this specific issue) and should be refunded. TP-Link have 3 years warranty in Sweden.
I used the money for better antennas and now use my ISP's 4G modem. It's bridged so my Ubiquiti Edgerouter X does the routing instead.
That being said, not all TP-Link 4G modems are bad. My mother has their MR600 and it works fine. I also use TP-Link's Access Point for my house and it's surprisingly competent with much better WiFi coverage than I was expecting.
Edit 2: If you don't have a receipt because you bought it used I honestly think you're screwed and your best bet is to sell it to someone else (but be honest about that it doesn't work with 3 or Tele2).
Either way it doesn't hurt to contact TP-Link and explain the situation - you bought it used so you don't have a receipt, but you have 3 years warranty in Sweden. Perhaps TP-Link might be able to help, but I wouldn't count on it. They will likely just refer you to the store (even if you don't have a receipt). But it doesn't hurt to try.
After all, TP-Link is aware of the issue, and if your modem is less than 3 years you have your legal 3 year guarantee (reklamationsrätt according to konsumentköpslagen). I hope you can solve it somehow. Please come back and tell us what you did, it might help someone else with the same issue down the line.

My problem that occurred in December last year was Spotify not being able to play certain songs and Facebook (for some reason) not working in any web browser.
This all happened at the same time as the other people here got their problems.
Earlier this year, everything suddenly started to work again.
Although I can't use chrome cast, it just won't cast anything. Haven't tried any solutions like switching to 3g etc. Though.
