Any way to force 2600MHZ band on Archer MR600
Hi,
I have an Archer MR600 connected to two external Poynting antennas, my 4g network operates on multiple bands, with 2600MHZ being considerably fastest (200mb).
The router always connects to the 1800MHZ 4g band which only offers around 30mb.
Is there any way to select which 4g band you want the router to use?

I agree with the rest. This feature is extremely critical. I can't see why people will still buy your product if it is not available. Please let your R&D team fix it ASAP!

@hmit agree too. I have just bought mr600, not opened yet think I will send it back and get the Huawei router instead if I can't change the band. I have the mr200 and it frustrates me it picks band 3 I get slow speed but band 7 gets me a great speed. Should be able to choose.

@imtootall Appreciate any kind of status/info on this issue. Some indicationof when it could be solved. Or even a decision not proceed, so I can thrash the MR 600 and buy another router. For now i’m using highly directional dual tube antennas optimized for capacityband frequencies and diy antenna BP filters to cut out lower bands. Even then I cant tune antennas directly towards strongest base station. Also the filters reduce performance in the passband. Instable and ridiculus solution

I Also bought a MR600 router, and have the same problem. Sometimes I have big drops of transfer speeds, when I've look the problem, is because the router change the LTE bands. I Want to force for specific combination of bands, for instance (20,3) or (20,1), for gathering better results, and the router doesn't´t choose the better bands for my case.
Sometimes yes, Sometimes Not. Of course, i double check with my smartphone, and is not a network problem. I think each location has particular characteristics and is a MUST that should be released a new firmware, to be able to select the bands manually to achieve the better results. Other similar routers from another brands, has this function, I don't see why this one shouldn't´t.
regards,
