Archer AX6000 5Ghz stops working after app. 1 day
Hi,
I just bought a Archer AX6000 router. I'm having trouble with the 5 Ghz band. After a clean start up of the router the 5Ghz works fine. I have laptop, 2 phones and a tablet that can all connect to it. But after a day or so the connection is lost and I can't reconnect. The 5Ghz network is intermittend down. So, when scanning for networks sometimes the 5Ghz network is visible, but then dissapears again. This happens on all 4 devices, which make believe that the origin of the problem is with the router.
In a wifi analyzer app I see the same thing. The 5Ghz network is there, and then it isn't. Then it's back again and then it's gone again.
I updated the firmware to the latest available version, which is version 1.0.6.
Any ideas on how to solve this? Or should I return it?

@broxtor return product if you can do it. Don't waste time because it is a failure product from TP-LINK

I noticed the same behavior with my AX3000 unit. Highlights 2 months in:
-Started dropping connections once the device heated up with use.
-Noted the SSIDs disappearing during these times, checked on router and HOT to touch.
-Device is wall mounted and unobstructed in a 75 deg ambient temp room.
-Only wifi affected, LAN ports still functional
-Client machines (2) roughly 30 ft away, one wall blocks line of sight to router
-8 IoT devices on network
-Remote location, neaest neighbor is a quarter mile away so interference is not a variable
-S/N is not in the system for registration, WTH
-RMA initiated today!
*note to self to use a USB adapter to run a spare case fan under it if needed fr cooling. YES, I'll be pretty upset about having to rig up some nonesense if its due to a design flaw at this price!

The 5gh network does not work sporadically.
Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to go back to a beta version.
It's just unbelievable that a router that costs so much doesn't work normally.
That is a cheek.
Touch up as soon as possible.
Can't recommend this router to anyone.

Looks like I am going to have to return mine also. Wish I had found this forum first. Bought the AX-6000 3 days ago, phones connected to Wifi6 no problem. Computers not so much. Thought maybe it was my network adapter, nope.. Still no 5G recognized outside of the phones.

Hello,
Does the 5G still encounter dropping outs? How about LAN and 2.4G connections, are they stable?
What are the 5G devices connected to the AX6000? Please try to change the 5G channel and channel width on it to give it a go.
When those devices got disconnected from the 5G network, is the 5G still broadcasting and can you still see it? How will the connection recover, do you need to connect to the 5G network again or it will just connect back automatically?
Thanks for your cooperation and patience.

Hello, sorry for any bad experience you've encountered with this router, we hope you could give us a chance to help locate the issue:
What is the model number of the wireless adapter on your computer? Generally, if the phone connects fine to the 5G network, that means the 5G network is broadcasting fine, please try to check if your computer can connect to other 5G networks.
Additionally, you may try to change the different 5G wireless channels on the AX6000 and try to find one with little interference with your neighbors.
Thanks.

@Kevin_Z I replaced my network adapter thinking that was the problem. But all of the computers in my house are experiencing the same problem. The one I just added is a TP-Link Archer TX-3000E. Went with the same brand to try to help the issue. I have tried all three channels and still not able to see that SSID.

@Kevin_Z 2.4Ghz is rock solid, just not getting the 5ghz channel. It is also only 15 feet from the router and 1 wall in between.
Also my firesticks do not detect the 5g also.

Hello, can you please log into the web UI of the AX6000 and go to Advanced-Wireless-5G, ensure the Enable Wireless Radio is checked and try to change the Mode to 802.11a/n/ac mixed to give it a go:
