For the TL-WN881ND, the utility is end of life, no more maintainence. So we do not suggest you to use the utility to set it up as a softAP. 

Instead, you can use the built-in mobile hotspot function or some other third party programme to boost wifi signal with TL-WN881ND provides wireless connection for the desktop;
