@Kevin_Z

Hi I have IFTTT working with M9 plus V2 ....... (V1 does not work with IFTTT)

Can you please clarify your statement :

"I have confirmed with our engineer that the Deco P9 does not support IFTTT"

Hello, where did you see the compatibility list? Could you please provide a link?

The Deco P9 supports TP-Link DDNS only. You can open Deco app, go to more-advanced-TP-Link DDNS page to set it up.

There is a plan to add GUI, while the supporting estimated time is still unsure.

For the new firmware of Deco P9, our RD team are working on it; once it is ready, it will be posted on the official website. And you can keep an eye on it.

Good day.

Hi, Deco M9 plus is different from Deco P9; Deco M9 plus supports IFTTT, while Deco P9 does not.

Good day.

With regard to dynamic dns - I have been trying to set it up for a month now without any success.  I am aware that the subdomain I choose needs to be unique - and less than 20 characters.  I have tried perhaps 100 different choices, and every time I get the same result:

Your product (at least the software) is completely unfit for purpose.  How do I go about getting a refund?

To be complete:

  • Deco M9 only supports IFTT in  router mode, NOT in AP mode
  • Apparently IFTT does not work with version v1,  router mode or not.
  • Your milage may  vary. Might work, most likely not. ( THIS should be on the box actually 'Might work with IFTTT, might not')

@realjax

But the documentation (see above) suggests that Deco P9 does work with IFTTT.

Basically on the box it should say - good for boosting WiFi in houses where signal is bad.  Not suitable for any other purpose.

Hello, thanks for your valued reply.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused here; The Deco P9 does not support IFTTT, we have forwarded  to our engineer and we will correct it as soon as possible.

Regarding to the TP-Link DDNS issue, we did a test at our lab and it works perfect. Please verify whether there is any blank space existed.

Hello, Deco M9 plus supports IFTTT in router mode, it is true; while both V1 and V2 supports IFTTT which we have confirmed.

If the IFTTT feature does not work properly, just contact us and then we can do further analysis and try to fix it.

Good day.
