Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.9.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 190307 Rel.54196n

Hi all,

I've set up Port Forwarding on my router, but it seems, that it doesn' work. I've forwarded the port 25565 like this: (NAT Forwarding -> Virtual Servers)

25565 is the port for Minecraft servers. There's a server running on 192.168.1.109 and i can connect to it internally (In my local network), but not from the internet.

It's also not possible to ping the router from the internet. (https://whatismyipaddress.com/de/meine-ip to get my ip and ping with a Windows PC like "ping 12.345.678.910")

I tried to ping that IP from my own network and from another network, because a long time ago I had problems pinging my own internet ip address from the local network.

I thought, that this could be a firewall problem caused by the router, because some devices just don't allow ICMP, but I got the same result after disabling the firewall like this:

I hope you can help me with that issue.

BTW: Forwarding Port 22 (SFTP) isn't working, too.

@Terror404

Three Uk SIM?

You probably are not getting a genuine real public IP address.

This can be resolved.

@NooNoo

Exactly. I was not getting a public IPv4 Address from my provider. I was in a carrier-grad-nat.

I live in Austria, where you have to get a public address if you request it. So I requested it, got it and everything is working fine. Router settings were OK all the time.

Thank you for your reminder, to post this!

Some providers use a different APN to allow a public IP to be assigned (if available). With Three UK it's a simple APN change ;)

@hauberl

Hi, You might need to require a public IP from SIM card carrier.

Some providers use a different APN to allow a public IP to be assigned.

Thanks a lot.
