Hi to all!
I'm using TL-MR3020 as WISP and trying to connect to a wireless router with WEP protection, but it doesn't work, that is, I can't obtain a WAN address from the router I'm trying to connect to.
The password is correct, but I think the WEP options of TL-MR3020 are not complete: I can select "open" and "shared" as authentication, but not "automatic", and I can't select the length of the key (64 bit, 128 bit...).
Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Uh, that's strange. Normally, if the length of the key is disabled, you cannot put the password. Maybe you need to reset the router.

Hi!
Here's a screenshot:

I tried to reset the router, but nothing changed. I also tried to load an older firmware, but no success.

By the way, there's another bug: always in WISP mode, if the network TL-MR3020 is connected to is not available, I can't connect to TL-MR3020 through wireless (the ESSID of TL-MR3020 is not present), but I have to connect through cable and change working mode.

Can the TL-MR3020 ping your main router on the setup page. System Tools-->Diagnostic-->Ping the main router. If it is timeout, then no connection between these two devices. Did the TP-LINK and your main router in the same IP segment? According to the user manual, it seems that you just need to put in the password, no other options like 64bit or 128bit.

Never tried to ping the router. Thanks for your suggestion! I'll try as soon as I can.
However, I think the TL-MR3020 lacks those options about WEP.

WEP does not work properly in 'n' mode. You may have to use the a/b/g modes.

Hi, thanks for your answer!
I'm using right now a TL-WR743ND which has the same functionality and the same exact options for WEP and it works well. It works in 11bgn mixed mode.
However, I'll give a look at TL-MR3020.
