Really slow 3G speed through router... okay when connected directly

Region : India

Model : TL-MR3220

Hardware Version : V2

Firmware Version : 120524

ISP : BSNL

When I bought the router its had firmware 120822... and it wouldn't even idenify my modem (ZTE AC8700) .I got in touch with the TP Link support guys who send me firmware 120524 (downgrade). Now it connects but its slower than dialup.

The internet led doesnt even light up. I think it should glow blue when connected to a high speed network.

:( Any help guys... The TP Link support guys are just too busy to reply to my mails I guess...

Why did they send your the earlier firmware?
you could try to put the router in different place to see if you can get a better internet speed.

Actually the router wouldn't identify the modem with the latest firmware. As for the location if I plug the modem in directly I get good speeds... so no reception issue... I'm stumped. :(
