Model: Archer C1200
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 3.16.0 0.9.1 v600c.0 Build 180124 Rel.28919n

Dear All,

This his my router device, I bought it Hungary, EU:

https://www.tp-link.com/hu/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-c5-v4/

On my my tp-link admin page the following version numbers are displayed:

Hardware Version:Archer C5 v4 00000004

Firmware Version:3.16.0 0.9.1 v600c.0 Build 180124 Rel.28919n

On the hungarian support page

https://www.tp-link.com/hu/support/download/archer-c5-v4/#Firmware

the following firmware is available: Archer_C5_EUWISP_1206.rar

which contains

Archer_C5(EUWISP)v4_3.16.0_0.9.1_up_boot(181119)_2018-11-20_13.35.25.bin.

Here is an article about the CVE-2017-7405 vulnerability which affects the routers with TP-Link Archer C5 v4 routers that run firmware version 3.16.0 0.9.1 v600c.0 Build 180124.

https://securityintelligence.com/posts/tp-link-archer-router-vulnerability-voids-admin-password-can-allow-remote-takeover/

The article links this file as a updated firmware:

https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201909/20190917/Archer_C5v4190815.rar

but it contains

Archer_C5(SP_CZWISP)v4_3.16.0_0.9.1_up_boot(190815)_2019-08-15_10.02.14.bin

My question is that where applicable firmware update is located for my router that fixes CVE-2017(9?)-7405 vulnerability?

Regards,

Gábor

@Kevin_Z  is it ok for me to flash firmware from Czech republic webiste if i reside in a different EU country? My country doesnt get firmware updates even though the same problems have presisted and the TPLink customer hotline just blabs crap and doesnt give me a solution.
