Hello.

I have a TL-MR6400 which I am trying to connect to a phone line to allow internet in the house.  I have the existing login details from a different model of router, namely a NetGear DGND3700v2 router.  It says in the old router settings, that the connection type is ppoe ppp over ethernet.  Dynamic DNS and IP are set.

However when I apply these settings to the TP LINK router it is showing no result.

Hi,

your NetGear DGND3700v2 has an integraded DSL modem, which the TL-MR6400 is missing. PPPoE is also gerally a login for DSL. The TL-MR6400 is not a DSL modem router, however we do have DSL modem routers:

https://www.tp-link.com/home-networking/dsl-modem-router/

If your NetGear DGND3700v2 supports bridge mode, you could also use it as the modem and your TL-MR6400 Router as the WiFi Router. In this case, setting the PPPoE in our router is correct.
