@thecork Add :30000 as the port specification.

@Stewart_Manley  Getting closer thanks, still doesn't load though.  I've of course checked those settings are turned on (they already were).  Nevermind...

Well, I just purchased a package of P9s because of the power line capabilities. I'll look into ways to hack the P9 to add more things to the web interface (which shouldn't be hard to do).

@Heracles421 Thats also the reason I bought but lacking features and unstable. Speeds arent great either. Today I have got the replacement, Asus Zenwifi CT8 setup at the same places of the P9s annnnnd twice faster than P9 through Wifi Backhaul, full of features and capabilities.

I did not regret the change.

@timp78

Working fine from Ubuntu and Firefox:  https://192.168.68.1  or  https://tplinkdeco.net  (name resolution works when you add the router address as a DNS server).

@thecork have you tried checking what ports are open ?

if you are on Windows then start powershell and run

Test-NetConnection -Computername 192.168.68.1 -Port 443

and you are looking for TcpTestSucceeded : True

If you are on linux, then nmap will check for all open ports

$ nmap 192.168.68.1
Starting Nmap 7.80 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2020-05-09 17:58 BST
Nmap scan report for _gateway (192.168.68.1)
Host is up (0.0100s latency).
Not shown: 993 closed ports
PORT      STATE SERVICE
22/tcp    open  ssh
23/tcp    open  telnet
53/tcp    open  domain
80/tcp    open  http
443/tcp   open  https
1900/tcp  open  upnp
30000/tcp open  ndmps

The new firmware will add support for the following two services which were not available in 1.0.2 Build 20190917 Rel. 71168

23/tcp    open  telnet
443/tcp   open  https

If you get the TcpTestSucceeded : True this should be able to respond on https://192.168.68.1   if not then the question is whether it has upgraded sucessfully.

@GuyUK Thanks, I've given up on the P9, the firmware is severely lacking compared to

other products, and even others in the range, that couple with the fact you can't buy a single device of them anywhere (which defeats the point of a mesh system in my eyes) so I've returned to Amazon and swapped for the M5 which seems to have much more complete firmware, can buy standalone (yes I know I could have mixed and matched but your not using the power line then anyway), so let's see how that goes...

@thecork  I have been close to doing the same so glad to hear you have a solution that works for you. At least there is a glimmer of hope with the beta release but still a long way to go and like many others here, I am not happy to find we are being the beta testers for a product that should not have been shipped in this state.

@GuyUK

Pretty close now to just giving up on the P9's now, I have 6 in total had drop outs all the time and disconnecting from the mesh network regularly, I updated 3 of thgem to the new beta firmware and started again with those three, actually seemed stable enough one showing using the powerline the other wireless only.  The latter was plugged into the same socket as a previous TPLink powerline adapter that was working before perfectly but this third P9 only shows as wireless connection.  Anyway I needed to add the other three so added them and then updated the firmware.  Then all went bad again, at least three out of the six disconnected themselves flashing red and can't seem to get them to reconnect even if I bring them al into the same room and adjacent sockets.

Question I have is whether I can downgrade the firmware back to the one I had when I received them, I am not sure that will make them any better but was going to do that and then return them.

Any other suggestions welcome.

@thecork

I updated the firmware on all of my 6 P9 units but still dropping units all the time, I can see on the app that some are using powerline and others not (that may be down to my poor old wiring in the house) but with regard to web interface access on a PC I have not been able to access this.  I did read somewhere on this forum that it may have to be in Router mode to be able to do this as mine is running in AP mode.

I am probably going to give up and return these to Amazon, any ideas on a stable alternative product?
