Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.0.6 Build 20190822 rel.26396

Hi,

Yet another one having problems with loosing 5Ghz network. I've tested a lot of the "fixes" mentioned in various threads here at the forum. Checked firmware, set fixed values for channels, reset devices (router & phones/tablets/pc's), aso.

2.4 works fine & wired works fine. Trying to connect 5Ghz says that either the network doesn't exist or that the password is incorrect (which it isn't). The 5Ghz is visible for all clients, but no device can connect to it.

The last tests I've made is to analyse the HomeCare parts. It seems to be the "Infected Device Quarantine" that cause the problems. Having the 2 other parts enabled (Malicious Content Filter & Intrudion Prevention System) it appears to be working fine (either one or both of them enabled). But as soon as I enable the "Infected Device Quarantine" functionality I loose the 5Ghz - if not directly, within a day.

So, currently it's been working for several days (without the "Infected..." enabled). But it would be great to be able to use all features of the router I've bought.

Thanks in advance for some guidance and help.

Update January 24th:

I lost the 5GHz network again, so it's not the "Infected..." setting that cause the problem - it just makes the 5GHz network disappear much faster.

i know I'm not the only one with this problem so please pay some attention to this TP-Link!! I'm strongly thinking about returning the router and change my reviews in different Swedish review sites.

So far I've seen recomendations to disable the ax-network or change settings so the wifi becomes slower. That can't be a solution. It's like buying a Porsche and get the recomendation: don't use the higher gears and don't drive over 50km/h...

Thanks in advance for attention and a firmware upgrade that solves this problem!

Today the 2,5 Ghz failed to work. The 5Ghz & wired network worked during the same time. The error was some kind of authentication problem. Interesting that no TpLink representative bother to answer. I start to think that the bad rumours around TpLink ( failing harware/software, bad support, no answers, neglecting users, etc ) is not only internet trolling but actually how it works at TpLink. I always give averyone a second chance. Let’s see if TpLink takes this second chance.

Maybe this is the way it should work, you have to restart the router several times a week...

You should post your request in the SOHO community. This is the SMB forum and people here answer questions for JetStream switches and SMB routers, but most of use don't have SOHO WiFI routers (and no, I'm not from TP-Link).

@Julius_Sweden, you're welcome.

Yes the subforums could be separated more clearly in the web interface.

Hope the SOHO forum members can help you with the AX6000 issue.
