Model: Archer T2U Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I bought the Archer T2U Plus, (planning to use it with Connectify), so my desktop computer (connected to the router with an ethernet cable)

would be a hotspot for my tablet.  Many hours later, I read online that this model does not support SoftAP -- I'm not sure what that means,

but does it mean I bought the wrong WIFI adapter?

TP-Link -- you should update your Amazon pages to state clearly which modesl do/do not support SoftAP.

@Doovie

Hello, you can use the built-in mobile hotspot function on Windows 10 to satisfy your needs.

Below is the instruction:

How to set up a Mobile Hotspot or Soft AP on Windows 10?

May it help.

@Kevin_Z

From what I read online, the Archer T2U Plus does not support SoftAP because of the hardware.

1. Is this true?

2. Why is it that some WIFI adapters clearly say SoftAP in the name/title, while others do not?

3. Is it only a funtion of the software/driver?
