Archer C6 - Ethernet negotiation at 100Mbps
Hi.
I have recently bought an Archer C6 Gigabit. The quality is excellent and Wi-Fi works flawlessly, reaching up to 250Mbps (my provider's bandwhich) just fine.
But when it comes to the wired connection, I had a disappointment. My notebook has a Gigabit ethernet port and bandwhich negotiation is set to 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex. Conecting the PC to any LAN ports on the router, using a cat.5e cable, negotiation speed only reaches 100Mbps as you can see in the images bellow. What could be done to fix this?

Hello Kevin,
I updated the firmware to the last stable version.
Wi-fi seems stable... but I'm with the same problem with negotiation speed.

The old issue with the wifi appeared again.
All my family reported that the internet is slow and instable in 5G.

Sorry to hear that. It is suggested to change the Ethernet cable between your PC and the C6 LAN1 with new Cat 5E or Cat 6 one. Then on the C6 make sure you have the setting for Duplex to Auto negotiation.
If you are using the same Ethernet cable to connect your PC to the ISP mode directly and observe speed is 1Gbps and then this same cable to connect the PC to your C6 and observe only 100 Mbps, that means C6 can't negotiate faster speed with this cable, either C6 doesn't like this cable or your C6 Internet port is faulty.
As for the 5G slow and instable issue, try to modify the 5G wireless settings, such as wireless channel to 36/40/44/48, channel width to 80MHz, wireless security to WPA2-PSK/AES, then reboot the C6 and reconnect to its wireless again.

@Kevin_Z
Just like I said before, when I connect the cable direct to my modem I get the 1gb speed (and I already changed it 3 times and with the 3 routes I get the 1gb speed).
So... the problem is the C6 router.
And the WiFi I already tried everything, only changing the firmware to a older version I can use the internet properly via WiFi.
And now?

I am encountering the same for my Archer C80. I am already using cat5e but LAN is just showing 100Mbps on the TP-Link's Ethernet status. My NIC is gigabit.

Please disregard my previous post. I saw the issue. It's on my driver settings. Need to switch Speed & Duplex from 100Mbps to 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex. Now it's working fine.

Same Issue with the Archer C7. I have a CAT7 Ethernet cable. Even I'm changing the duplex to 1000 mpbs its not working.

What is the device and model of the adapter that connected to the LAN port of the Archer C7? Have you tried to connect other devices with a gigabit Ethernet port to one of the LAN ports of the Archer C7 to check if the link speed can be 1000Mbps?
Try with different LAN ports, as well as different Ethernet cables, cat5e or cat6 is OK.
